In 2003, PLASTIAPE acquired 100% of CO-STA
establishing an industrial group specialized in the production of plastic
bottles and containers for cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
Plastiape specializes in products made by thermoplastic resin,
focusing on high precision and complex medical devices. Among these, mono-
and multi-dose dispensers and inhalers, moulded in Class 100,000 white
rooms and assembled, checked and packaged in Class 10,000 rooms.
Important in the production mix are also the dispensers for fluid cream
deodorants, made on firm’s own patents, and the sticks for deodorant
used by the market leaders.
Plastiape, Vision 2000 certified, holds over 50 patents and invest 6% of
total sales in research and development.
The company is registered at the Murst (Ministry of the University and
Scientific Research), which grants funds for further development of the
products.
 The
key product is the single-dose powder inhaler, a medical device developed
and improved through company’s know-how and approved by the Italian
Healthcare Ministry.
CO-STA is a member company of the Colombo
Group (CO.GE.FIN), an industrial-financial holding group operating in
the zinc, plastic, bathroom-furnishing sectors.
